Polka dots on a blustery day


A storm was a-coming...


So I went outside to take pictures of my new-to-me polka dot dress before it was too late.


Things became down-right blustery.


Two minutes after the pictures were taken, the bottom fell out and it poured and poured. I love storms! I also love this dress. It is thrifted Ralph Lauren. I was so excited when I saw it and then tried to temper that excitement because the tag alleged it was too small... but I tried it on, and it fit perfectly. I had a very emotional reaction to this and had to sit down on the bench in the dressing room and compose myself. Oh the emotional roller-coaster of second-hand shopping.

    Seriously! Sizes are so weird in thrift stores! Even when they come from brands I'm familiar with! You just never know what will fit! Great find!

    Ha ha! I love your story of finding this dress - I do the same things when I find something which should be too big/small and it fits. I usually thanks the "gods" of second hand shopping at that point;)

    I know what you mean about the size surprises! I often trawl the other size sections because I just know there's buried treasure. I like the brown boots with the blue dress.
