"The only way to enjoy anything in this life is to earn it first." -- Ginger Rogers.
I love Ginger Rogers so much. I love her with Fred Astaire, but I think I love her most without him. I'm not big on dance sequences, but I am big on brassy, smart, glamorous women, and Ginger Rogers is all that (and she does in backwards and, you know, in heels).
I've never seen any of the Fred and Ginger stuff. I've never seen any Audrey Hepburn movies either. But Ginger is really pretty! lol

I've always been a sucker for any movies with dance numbers, and used to be so obsessed with Fred and Ginger, and Gene Kelly and Cyd Charisse...sigh...those were the days....
ReplyDeleteI always thought Ginger to be a fiesty woman too, love all those brassy smart women too, oh Mae (west) you gave us so much x
ReplyDeleteLove her!

ReplyDeleteLove the second shot so much! Swing Time is one of my absolute favourite 1930s movies. I just watched it again a week or two ago on TCM and am still humming some of the tunes from it! :)

I love Ginger Rogers - I used to spend hours watching videos of her dancing with Fred Astaire and wishing I could dance like that!
