Magical

There is something magical about a really long skirt. Am I right or am I right? When a skirt is so long it rests on my toes and flirts with the floor, well, I just get really happy.

I bought this skirt at a thrift shop yesterday. When I saw it on the rack, I wasn't sure about the print, but when I tried it on, it was so comfortable and such a perfect length, I decided it was coming home with me. Now, I like the print. Flowers. Everyone likes flowers. They are a universally beautiful thing. What's not to like?

This is my new necklace. It is from Forever21. When I buy things from Forever21, I feel kind of silly because I am an adult woman and the store is geared toward 14-year-old girls, but what can I say? I like this necklace.

I never feel silly buying things from thrift stores. Buying second-hand clothing is the best thing ever. I love the hunt. I love the prices. I love taking something that might seem initially tacky or old fashioned and putting my own spin on it so it feels fabulous. I love the surprised looks I get when people ask me where I got my great dress/skirt/shoes/skirt and I reply "The Goodwill." Do you see my manic grin? That's a visual expression of how I feel about thrifting.

I think the print is lovely, and I agree with you about long flowy skirts. I only have one. But my Stylestalker Palazzo pants have become a favourite, I love wearing them.

And I'm with you about thrift store and vintage shopping. I've also recently tried buying more handmade clothing :)Have a great weekend!

Your hair down is lovely !
I did not recognize you! No joke!
This is a wonderful look for you!
I go to Forever 21and i am 52!
They have good basics and cheap trendy clothes, which i like and mix with my vintage, thrifted items.
Thrifting is great you always end up with a unique piece and do not blend in with the rest of the crowd.

Have a great Saturday

Thank you for commenting on my blog. I like your necklace and I can't find that it's a necklace for only teenagers.
I can underline every word you write about thrifting cause I feel completely the same. Best wishes! Have a marvellous Sunday!

It's great to feel excited about what you're wearing! Especially if it was a bargain, and something that someone else didn't want.
Your skirt is beautiful, I would wear it in a heartbeat (you know I love a maxi) and it makes me happy to look at you feeling happy in it! xxx

Whoa!! That last photo is AWESOME!! Truly, you look fabulous here!! I like everything about this photo, the backdrop, what you're wearing, and best of all, your expression!

I'm am so into maxis lately. What I love is how I feel naked when I wear them. Do people understand that my legs are bare under there?! How shocking! How daring. How fun! It's like wearing a bath towel except you know it won't fall down. And a maxi usually looks betterm than a towel...

I share your enthusiasm for thrifting. And this skirt is very attractive.

My belief about shopping is that an item stands on its own: if a necklace is nice, it doesn't matter which store you bought it in. Which is why I, like you, shop in "young" stores looking for the occasional gem.

I like what you wrote about long skirts - resting on your toes and flirting with the floor! And what a lovely skirt this is. Good find! The white on black pattern is very pretty (more so, I'm convinced, than if it was in color).

I find that these days I only go into Forever 21 to look at jewelry and accessories.

There is something wonderful about a floor-grazing skirt and that one looks fab on you! The necklace is really pretty, and a great colour against the navy - I have bought jewellery at Forever 21 and I'm a lot older than you (mind you that's the only thing I buy there)
