Loving Lately

Lately I've been loving...

1. Owls. They have maybe taken over my classroom.

2. The Dollar Store -- one stop shopping for the start of the school year! I bought all sorts of things, most importantly book bins for all those books I bought for my classroom this summer. School starts tomorrow!

3. Tuna salad sandwiches complete with ginger dressing, carrots and lettuce. (Made by Robert who does most of the cooking in our house, which some find shocking, and I find awesome.)

4. Visiting my childhood home and seeing my old toys, which my parents have brought out for their grandchildren (my niece and nephew). That doll is named Isabella, and when I first got her, she was as tall as me! The big bear is named "Big Bear" and he belonged to my brother. I'm happy they're out to be enjoyed by a new generation of kids.

Good luck with your first day back at school. You seem well organised for it.

The sandwich looks and sounds delicious!

I adore your doll and your brother's bear - I think it's sweet that they are being loved all over again : )

can I come to your class? how lovely and sweet for your pupils, it makes the classroom so welcoming, great that your other half cooks, I would love it, mine makes 1 'specialty' and then hovers whilst it is eaten 'Is it nice? etc' drives me crackers hehe!, x

I decorated the school library where I worked last years with owls as well! So happy I don't work there anymore! lol

Michaels craft store had a tone of super cute owl stuff on their dollar racks a couple of months ago. Note pads, stamps, felt clips with little owls on them and a switch plate cover... which I snatched up. A cute owl switch cover? Yes!

I have been cleaning my childhood bedroom these days and it's so nice to see all your toys and think of ways how they can be enjoyed again!
