My Fair Lady

Last year, on the last day of school, I tried to get my students to watch "My Fair Lady." I thought it was a great idea because it's one of AFI's 100 best movies of all time, it's rated G and I loved it when I was elementary school.

What's not to love? Music! Audrey Hepburn! Giant hats! Cockney accents! More Audrey Hepburn!

My students didn't agree and were pretty bored pretty quickly with the exception of five little girls who adored it. Ah well. I still love it too.

Oh I just love this movie! I once tried to show The Secret of Roan Inish to a class of 4th graders. Mistake. Boredom. Oh well, I liked it!
