Nina Simone, the high priestess of soul, had mad style.
She was gorgeous in an evening gown and heels as seen above... BUT...
I also think old pictures of her look so modern. Look at that outfit! Wouldn't you just love to wear that outfit? It doesn't look dated at all to me. (Although that could just be me. I do enjoy wearing some dated-looking clothing.) Maxi dresses are still the best. Bold necklaces? Still the best. Nina Simone? The best.

I love her, I saw her at The Philharmonic in Liverpool many years ago, she was just brilliant, funny and massively charismatic, Nina Simone? oh yes, the best! x x x
She looks very slinky in that dress and heels. Oh to be so slim.
