Romping around

Hey look, it's a romper! A romper, I say!

This is my one and only romper, which I thrifted several years ago, and I love it.

I wore it to a party Saturday night, and one of my friends there asked where I got it. She was shocked to find out it was thrifted (and then I added that I had thrifted the awesome shirt Robert was wearing as well). I think she was not only shocked, but also a little dismayed. Some people think wearing second hand clothes is yucky, but I always try to sway them to my way of thinking. Just throw the thrifted stuff in the wash, and then it's no big deal! Prices are good. It's sustainable so Mother Earth loves you, and you usually don't look like anyone else in your super cool outfit (more on that later).

My romper was accessorized with my reach-for-the-stars necklace bought for me by a long-ago sweetheart when I was an undergraduate in Asheville.

All about the wedges. They're getting more and more comfortable with every wear. Maybe someday I'll wear them to work? Probably not. Probably not ever. Flats and Danskos, man, that's all this teacher can handle.

So remember how I mentioned that thrifting clothes usually means you end up looking one-of-a-kind at parties? Well...

Two of my friends also wore rompers so I guess I was accidentally trendy. But that's great! Rompers are the best! Everyone should be romping around in a romper whether it's chambry or printed or thrifted! Rompers rule!

P.S. I am 5'8" in real life, not a giant lady. I'm just standing next to shorter people and wearing some serious heels.

What an on-trend lady you are!

Plenty of signs of Autumn in your corner of the world I see.

Have a good day : )

cute romper! and yes to thrifting! I don't know whether it's the whiff that can put people off? In England some charity shops are spectacularly whiffy but a good wash and airing sorts that out x

What a cute outfit. Gee there is nothing wrong with thrifting. As you said, stuff in the wash and you're fine. Love your wedges. They are super cute.
Have a lovely weekend.

Hmmmm I just love the second hand comments......I always ask them if they ask for brand new sheets when they book into a hotel?????? I always stops them in their tracks.

I bought a floral print romper a few years ago and it was sooooo cute. The only problem was it buttoned all the way up in the back. Very impractical and inconvenient so I only wore it around the house. Plus is was really short and I'm very um... cellulited...

Being accidentally trendy is perfectly acceptable! The wedges look very comfy and would go with everything. I don't think I can pull off a romper look but it looks nice and casual and relaxed here, I like it.

I get that all the time and I LOVE telling people who hate thrifting or have preconceived notions about it that something I am wearing that they like is thrifted. And finding an adorable piece like this is a real treat! I have only found a couple of jumpers thrifting--great find!
